2014 community cougars 

WEEK 11: JIM & JUDY DROBNICK

Our players have chosen Jim and Judy Drobnick as this week's Community Cougars.  Jim and Judy run Cougar Boosters which benefits all athletes at HMBHS.  Without Cougar Boosters, our sports programs would not exist.  Jim and Judy are in charge of organizing and getting volunteers in order to host our home football games.  They also have helped run many of football's fundraising events.  Jim and Judy do so much for students at HMBHS and they do it with a smile.  Our football program would like to thank Jim and Judy for all that they do for Cougar Football.

WEEK 10 : SEATON FAMILY

All the football players and coaches are pleased to announce that this week's Community Cougar is the entire Seaton family. All of the Seatons have been a big part of Cougar football for years. The family are HMBHS alumni and have all played football here on Cougar hill. Their children have also played football for HMB and have graduated from HMBHS. The Seatons continue to be a part of Cougar football as our home game chain gang and have done this job for several years. Audrey Seaton has taken care of theThursday night team dinners for many seasons and continues to be a major contributor to the delicious dinners that the players and coaches look forward to and enjoy every Thursday Night. Neal Seaton is currently coaching Pop Warner football on the Coastside, following in the footsteps of his father, Mike, who coached many successful Pop Warner teams.  Please join us in thanking the Seatons for all that they do for our football program and congratulate them on being recognized as this week Community Cougar for Terra Nova week.

WEEK 9 : BECKY RUPPEL

The players and coaches are extremely pleased to announce that Becky Ruppel has been voted this week's Community Cougar. Becky is a very talented photographer and has taken team photos for not only both football teams, but most team sports here at Half Moon Bay High for several years. Becky is a regular attendee at all Cougars team sports and can also be seen at several practices throughout the week. Becky's photos can also be seen on football and baseball team posters around town and on her Shutterfly web site. She is also a contributor to the school yearbook. Please join the football program in congratulating Becky Ruppel as this week's Community Cougar.

WEEK 8 : MR. OLSON

The Cougars football players and coaches are pleased to announce that this week's Teacher Appreciation Game Community Cougar is Mr. Pat Olson. Mr. Olson is a long time Freshman Studies teacher. His classes are much more than geography. He also teaches drugs and alcohol awareness along with drivers education. Many of our players had him as freshman and many now take his elective broadcasting class.  His classes are informative and entertaining. Mr. Olson is also the voice of USF Dons basketball. He also broadcasts our Cougars athletic events over the internet. Please join the entire football program in congratulating Mr. Pat Olson as this week's Community Cougar.

WEEK 7 : TERRA FAMILY

The Half Moon Bay Football players and coaches congratulate the entire Terra family for being voted unanimously as this week's Community Cougar. Michelle runs the snack bar and is a huge part of the traditional Thursday team dinners. Marisa bakes for our players for Thursday dinners and Gerry is a regular at practice, always giving our players moral support.  The whole family supports Cougar football in every way possible.  Junior Justin Terra is a member of the Varsity team playing on both sides of the line as a center and a defensive tackle. Join us in congratulating the Terra family and thanking them for all they do for our football players and coaches.

WEEK 6 : GEORGANN CARTWRIGHT

The players and coaches are proud to announce this Homecoming Week's Community Cougar is Georgann Cartwright. Georgann is responsible for several behind the scenes responsibilities that allow the coaches to coach. She plans and organizes the team dinner every Thursday. Georgann also runs the Cougar Football web site and helps with making the program  Georgann is the ultimate team parent and sets the example for how parents can get involved and be a part of the program and positively effect our Student-Athletes lives.

WEEK 5  :  JULIE BAIRD

Julie is the football program's communications liaison.  If you have a question about HMB football, she has the answers.  Aside from this job, Julie is an All-Star parent who volunteers for everything a parent can volunteer for. Julie's son, Arron plays for the JV team and her son, Sean, plays for the varsity. The Half Moon Bay High School Football Program would like to thank Julie for everything that she does.

WEEK 4  :  MR. CAREY

Mr. Carey, senior English teacher, is a favorite of our seniors.  Mr. Carey is known for entertaining his students with his stories in the classroom.  Mr. Carey is also a tutor in the library during the varsity team's study hall. The Courar Football Program would like to thank Mr. Carey for his years of support.

WEEK 3  :  MR. STAGG

Mr. Stagg is a UC Santa Cruz graduate. His teaching style is intended to teach our students logic and problem solving. His sense of humor is also what gets his students engaged and interested in what he is trying to teach. Mr. Stagg is a favorite among the football players and the coaches and players are excited to have Mr. Stagg as this week's Community Cougar.

WEEK 2 : MR. JONES

Mr. Jones is a math teacher who is always giving our players words of encouragement.  Not only is he our water service technician, he is also responsible for creating our new goal boards. The Cougars would like to thank David for all that he does for Cougar Football.

WEEK 1  :  SUSAN ROYCE

Susan Royce, a Varsity Cheer coach, has volunteered countless hours to support  Cougar Football.  On top of coaching cheer, Susan runs our highly successful annual Casino Night and our annual Carnival/Movie Night. The Cougar Football program would like to thank Susan for all that she does for our players.
