J.V. Head Coach Ronnie Ekis was raised in a North Kansas City suburb. Ronnie earned a varsity letter for 4 years, and was a 2006 Missouri All-State selection out of Smithwille HS in Smithville, MO. He was also selected to the 2006 Missouri High School All-Star Team as a senior. From there, he attended the University of Missouri to further his football career. A year later, he made a life decision to leave Missouri and head back to his coastal roots. Ronnie, having been born here, both parents being HMBHS graduates, and with plenty of family in the area felt the community to be a perfect fit for a fresh start. This is his third year as a coach for the football program. Coach Ekis graduated from San Francisco State University this past May with a degree in Biology. He plans to pursue a teaching credential in the sciences at Notre Dame de Namur University.
Coach Terraszas has been on the football coaching staff since 2002. He started out as an offensive and defensive line coach on the J.V. team for 4 years. In 2006, he was the J.V. Defensive Coordinator, and went on to win the league championship that year before moving up to the Varsity team in 2007 to be wide receivers coach until 2014. This year he is J.V. Defensive Coordinator.
Coach Terraszas is also the Head Coach of the Varsity Baseball team and has held that position since 2010. He has been a coach on the baseball staff since 2002 and a head coach since 2006. Coach Terraszas and his wife Betsy have three kids who have attended HMBHS and been apart of the athletic department.
Coach Terraszas grew up in Foster City and graduated from San Mateo High in 1980. Coach Terraszas graduated from CSU Sacramento with a degree in Psychology and has enjoyed living in the coastside community of Half Moon Bay since 2002.

Coach Agundes started coaching football in 1979 and has coached off and on since then. Coach Agundes has 9 years of coaching experience including three years at HMBHS at the J.V. level. Coach Agundes played his high school football in the San Diego area. He played football for four years and was a starter for two.
Coach Taylor graduated from Half Moon Bay high school in 2006. While at HMBHS he played several sports including football and basketball. Coach Taylor graduated from Chico State in 2011 and has been coaching basketball here at the high school for the past four years. This is his second year coaching football and is very excited for the opportunity.

Brendan graduated from Half Moon Bay High School in 2007 where he played football and baseball. Brendan was a part of the 2005 CCS Champion football team. After high school Brendan played baseball while attending college. Brendan is a member of hmbhs staff teaching Freshman Studies.
HEAD ATHLETIC TRAINER
Head Athletic Trainer Jessica Markbreiter completed her Master's in Athletic Training from A.T. Still University (Mesa, AZ) in the spring of 2015 prior to joining the athletic staff at Half Moon Bay High School mid-fall in 2015. While in Arizona she worked as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer at Phoenix College working closely with Men's/Women's soccer and baseball. Prior to graduate school she attended Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, TX) where she earned her Bachelor's in Athletic Training. Over her past six years of education she has gained clinical experience in Division 1, Junior College, and High School setting(s). Jessica is excited to be joining the athletic staff at Half Moon Bay High School for her second year.
Assistant Athletic TRAINER / EMT
Geoff is a volunteer Firefighter & EMT for the Central County Fire Department and is continuing his emergency education to obtain his paramedic license. He is the baseball hitting and infield coach at Skyline College and was a Varsity and J.V. assistant baseball coach at HMBHS from 2012 to 2014. In his free time he enjoys teaching kids and outdoor activities and exercise.
