
Jack Coolidge Award Winners
Jack Coolidge began his coaching career at El Camino High School in 1963 and moved to HMBHS in 1969. He was a member of the varsity staff for 6 of the 7 league championships won by the Cougars in football, serving as an assistant on the ’72 and ’77 teams and leading the team as head coach in the ’90,’91,’92, and ’93 championships. Taking the reins as head coach in 1981, Jack lead the Cougars to 6 consecutive CCS post season playoff appearances from 1989 to 1994, retiring after the ’94 season. Jack continuously provided his players with the tools for weekly success by through scouting, game plan development, and ensuring that each player knew his assignment responsibility.
