
Summer Workout Requirements
Download a the summer calendar with important dates and timesOnly students wanting to make the Varsity Squad have a workout requirement. All Frosh/Soph players are encouraged to come, but they do not have to. They only need to attend at the start of the season, August 18th, 10am.
Summer workouts run from June 23rd to August 15th. We understand the importance of family vacations; attending both semesters leaves three weeks free prior to the start of double days, August 18th, or use the calendar to plan accordingly.
There are two ways to make requirement:
- Take and pass both semesters of The Football Class. All players not needing to take academic courses in summer school are expected to attend this class. OR
- Make 24 workouts out of 31 available. Early Weights: 6 - 7:30am.
Important:
- Summer training is essential to get your body physically prepared for the stresses of football. Moreover, the class work is necessary in understanding the offensive, defensive and special teams packages we run. If your workout requirements are not met by August 18th, you will miss playing in games. (1-3 sessions short = sitting week #1 (Prospect), 4-6 = weeks #1 & 2, 7-9 = weeks #1, 2 & 3, and so on) These workouts and class sessions are for a reason. We need to enter the season strong as a team so we can achieve the goals we set for ourselves.Championships are built NOW, not in August!!
- The Early Workouts (6 - 7:30am) main purpose is to allow an option for students who have to take summer school to be eligible. If you are not enrolled in summer school for academic reasons, you should attend the football class.
