Cougar Football Rolls to 42–0 Win at Pacific Grove
Cougar Football continued its strong start to the season Friday night, traveling to Pacific Grove and coming home with another 42–0 victory! HMB scored in every quarter while the Cougar defense recorded its second consecutive shutout.
The ground game was the story of the night, as the Cougars piled up an impressive 400 rushing yards and 459 total yards of offense. Brandon Melo led the way with 170 yards rushing on 10 carries, including a 56-yard touchdown run. Joedoln Flores added 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Alessandro Hughes contributed 69 yards and two touchdowns. Auggie Lujan also found the end zone on a 12-yard run.
The Cougar defense delivered another outstanding performance, limiting Pacific Grove to just 119 total yards and six first downs. HMB also forced two turnovers and held the Breakers scoreless from start to finish.
